Frequently Asked Questions
How do I measure my dog’s wrist to pick the right size?
Using a flexible tape measure or
a piece of string and measure it against a rigid measure and refer to the sizing
guide on the product page
What if my dog falls into two sizes—should I size up, size down, or order a custom wrap?
If your dog’s measurements are able to fit into multiple sizes, size down. If your dog falls outside of the measurements, please send us a message with your measurements and we will be happy to guide you on the best option.
Will they actually prevent carpal hyperextension, or just support the joint?
Some hyperextension may still occur during high impact sports. Our wraps are designed to support the soft tissues and reduce any inflammation that may occur.
Do they restrict natural movement or shift impact to the shoulders/elbows?
Our wraps allow for full natural range of motion with no restriction on movement – therefore not shifting any impact to any other structures.
Do they cover and protect the dew claw?
Yes! The dew claws are neatly and securely tucked away, preventing them from getting caught or injured.
Does my dog not need their dew claws to help them turn?
The dew claws on a dog as they are today are not used when turning as the dog has no control over its movement. For most dogs, the likelihood of them catching it and causing injury is far greater than it being beneficial in sports.
Do they protect the stopper pad?
Our wraps are designed to allow full range of motion, so the stopper pad is left exposed.
What happens if the wraps get wet—do they stay supportive and do joints stay warm?
The elasticity and function of our wraps is not altered when they get wet and will air dry to the same shape and quality.
Can they cope with high-speed sports (flyball, agility, canicross, bikejor) without slipping?
Our wraps have been designed to be used during high impact sports. When sized and applied correctly, they will not slip, move or spin round.
Should dogs with existing injuries wear them?
Our wraps provide a mild level of support to the joint alongside other benefits that may help with cases of arthritis, mild sprains and chronic hyperextension. Please seek professional advice before using our wraps during high impact activities with current or previous injuries/conditions.
How tight should I pull the main wrap and the Velcro strap?
When using our wraps for high impact activity, you want a snug fit. Pull both the wrap and strap relatively tight, leaving a finger to tighten it over. Once on, they should feel snug, but you should be able to pull them away from the leg at the top.
Will the wraps lose performance over time—how long do they last?
The lifespan of our wraps is dictated by Velcro. We only use genuine Velcro products which have an average lifespan of up to 20,000 cycles of fastening.
Can I wash them?
Our wraps can be machine washed at 30 degrees or hand washed and air dried. They are not suitable for tumble drying. Brush any sand or grass out of the Velcro hook after use to prevent the Velcro from failing.
Are the wraps sold as a pair or individually?
All our wraps are sold as a pair.
Do you offer made-to-measure wraps and how do I order them?
If your dog falls outside of the measurements for our standard sizing, please message us with your measurements and we would be happy to discuss custom options with you.
Which countries do you ship to and how are fees calculated?
We ship to the UK and Channel Islands, EU, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Norway, Switzerland and the US. All taxes and fees are automatically calculated within the prices of our products and are displayed in the checkout.
What’s the return/exchange policy if they don’t fit or my dog won’t tolerate them?
We are more than happy to accept a return as long as the products are in a brand new condition and can be re-sold.
Will wearing these weaken my dog's wrists and increase injury when they are't wearing them?
We have a firm belief that dogs participating in high impact activities should have a solid foundation of strength, conditioning and proprioception. Wearing our wraps when completing these high impact, unnatural movements will only aid injury prevention and recovery.
